First Edition Prices, Values and Auction Results

We collected a sample of 16 auction results of Grey, Zane's Tales of Fishing Virgin Seas from 1 different auction houses. The lowest overall price realized in our sample was $60 and the highest overall price realized was $1920. The overall average price was $322 and the median price realized for the book was $156. There were 12 auctions (75%) with a price realized below the low estimate, 0 auctions (0%) exceeding the high estimates, and 4 auctions (25%) within the range of the low and high estimates. Auctions of interest include: a PBA sale on October 19, 2017 of a 1925 - Harper and Brothers edition for $1920 that described as "a fine copy"; a PBA sale on December 13, 2007 of a 1925 - Harper and Brothers edition for $960 that described as "very good";
