The covers have a bit of bowing or lift at the fore-edge but are otherwise excellent. The dust jacket, with the cover painting by Henry Miller, has a tiny tear or nick at the the head of the front spine edge, but is otherwise like new. Also included (apparently as issued) is a clear plastic jacket cover that has some corner tears or chips including a one-and-one-half inch tear in the front lower corner, plus some rubbing from shelf wear.
