Shelfwear: light scuffing along edges and cover boards, light scuffing and fading along spine, light tanning along page edges, library bookplate pasted on inside front cover. Otherwise, volume is tightly bound with clean and crisp pages. No marks. Volume is in Very Good condition.

Quite clean interior, signed by the author Robert Graves but no other inscriptions, vi, 290 pages. Dust jacket has roughened edges and a tear at each spine end, but remains very good. Published in 1949 this 1st edition is signed by Robert Graves and is in very good to near fine condition with good dust jacket in protective sleeve.
