This English Edition focuses on Eastern Art both Muslim and Indian with text by Rabindrinath Tagore and Andre Malraux a.o., Chinese poetry, and numerous examples of eastern paintings and illuminations [with gold stamping on pages] and their influence on modern European Artists such as Matisse, Bonnard, Chagall, Miro, Klee etc. Also present in this issue, and this being only one of several, is a photo set by Gaetan Fouquet on the Hindu portfolio. A multifaceted presentation of all a modern magazine could and should be from its variety, to its excellent reproductions. This copy is in splendid shape, showing some slight wear, good to very good.
