Western novel concerning three brothers who catch wind of gold, whereupon 'through treachery the news [spreads] and almost overnight a gold rush [creates] a mining town.' Near Fine, in Very Good dust jacket, small chips at spine ends and flap corners, a few small closed tears, fading to spine, edgewear.

Description: Book looks almost new. Green cover with dark green print. On front endpaper is printed "Your trail and mine cross in mutual love of the Great West. Sincerely and (signed) Zane Grey" signed in ink on free endpaper. There looks to be a former owners name that was erased on a blank endpaper. Very faint evidence. This is the Grosset and Dunlap editon printed by arrangement with Harper. The dust is price clipped, and has minor chips at top and bottom of spine and corners. Dust is now in brodart archival cover. Condition is collector quality just not a first edition. Book looks like it was not handled much or perhaps may have never been read. Scarce if not rare in this condition. End flap says "The issuance of this new edition at a reduced price is made possible by (a) use of the same plates made for the original edition (b) acceptance by the author of a reduced royalty. Dust has crease marks around edges and chips to bottom of dust in the spine area. Dust now in Brodart mylar protective cover. G.W. Gage the artist/ illustrator was born in 1887 and died in 1957. Description: A very good plus copy bound in finely woven green cloth stamped brightly in black on the front boards and on the spine. With the merest touch of wear to the extremities. With red pictorial endpapers. In the original pictorial dust jacket with the price of $$.75 at the top of the front inside flap. Light edge wear and chipping to the top of the spine ends. Front flap has separated 3" along the center. This copy is signed in blue ink by Zane Grey beneath his greeting in red type at the top of the front endpaper: "Your trail and mine cross in mutual love of the Great West. Sincerely, Zane Grey.
