Description: [Literature] FIRST EDITION. Octavo (20 x 16cm), pp.[8]; 123; [1]; 16. Publisher's brown cloth lettered in gilt to spine and upper board. Title page lettered in orange, with 6 full page illustrations. This copy is inscribed: 'Mary B. Housman' to front free leaf in black ink. Toning to edges of textblock, rolling to spine, sunning and discolouration to publisher's cloth, wearing to gilt. Very good. Clemence Annie Housman was an author, illustrator and activist in the women's suffrage movement. 'The Were-Wolf', an extended prose poem, follows the story of two brothers disagreeing over a Femme Fatale figure. This copy belonged to Mary B. Housman, a cousin of Edward Housman, father of Clemence and Laurence.
