Dust Jacket has wear on the edges that includes tears (no more than 1/4") that are difficult to see in the scans. Description: First Edition. One of 750 copies printed. Original boards, fine in near fine dust jacket with a short closed tear on bottom of front panel, minor wear to crown of jacket. In archival jacket protector. Laid in is a special bookplate, signed by Tony Hillerman, who appeared at the Las Vegas Book Fair in 1999. A few copies of this bookplate were distributed after the signing. The bookplate reads: "To commemorate the appearance of America's favorite mystery writer Tony Hillerman. January 24th, 1999 Las Vegar Book Fair Aermican Book Fairs, inc." Very scarce thus.
