The page block edges are a little toned commensurate with age. No foxing. The dust jacket is NOT price clipped showing the correct USD 8.95 price on the flap. No chips and no tears. Usual light fading to the spine and ghosting to reverse along the folds where the dust jacket touched the black cloth spine of the book. A beautiful specimen of a landmark book. The Shining had a first edition print run of 25,000 copies which is low for Stephen King novels nowadays where the first print run goes into the hundreds of thousands if not millions. Curiously, the first print run seems not not have been should out as there are many copies around which were remaindered with a black dotted coat of spray. The Shining is perhaps King’s most famous novel not least due to Stanley Kubrick’s film adaptation (1980). First and Fine
