Bold inscribed in purple ink on front free endpaper “To Lola from Zane.” Zane Grey’s had a passionate relationship with Lola Gornall over five years, from April 1933 to 1938. He wrote her over 500 letters.

Description: Stated first edition hardcover with C-E code. Spine ends softened, points slightly rubbed, minor ridge to spine, few minor spots to block edge. Tight and square. The DJ in mylar has a vertical crease to spine and front panel. Price $2.00. Includes the scarce Twentieth Anniversary wraparound band. Laid in is a small folded booklet (four sides) entitled "Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Association of Zane Grey and Harper & Brothers 1910-1930. " In the final paragraph it mentions that Mr. Grey "has offered to send an autographed picture to those of his friends who ask for it."
