The spine ends and corners of the covers are bumped, and the spine is rolled. In a dust jacket, with mild surface and edge wear, including light rubbing, and a shallow closed tear in the top edge of the rear panel. Signed by William Golding on the front free endpaper, with the notation, "____ U.K."
