Description: A wonderful brown full leather Limited Numbered First Edition signed by the author. Numbered 293 of 350 Limited Edition copies, determined from a numbered paper inside the shrinkwrap. With speckled edges and bound-in bookmark. With the original glassine dustjacket in fine condition in the original brown cloth slipcase protected by the original shrinkwrap which has a small tear on the top edge. The shrinkwrap is folded in the back, never seen before. Was it rewrapped? Not sure but the book and dustjacket appear untouched and unused, and in beautiful condition. One of the nicest copies we have seen and getting very scarce in the signed limited edition, this book was the subject of a 1993 major motion picture by the same name directed by Alan J. Pakula, and starring Julia Roberts in the role of young law student Darby Shaw and Denzel Washington as Washington Herald reporter Gray Grantham. Great book, great movie! John Grisham stands as a formidable force in the publishing industry, boasting an impressive record of 37 consecutive #1 bestsellers and a staggering global sales figure exceeding 300 million copies. Within the realm of collectors, Grisham's signatures have evolved into a sought-after niche. However, navigating the collecting landscape poses challenges, particularly with the proliferation of fraudulent signatures. The limited Grisham editions we carry offer collectors a sense of security, as the signatures are inherently resistant to fraud-directly penned by the author and authenticated by the publisher. Beyond their authenticity, these editions cater to collectors' aesthetic preferences. Crafted with the collector in mind, the books feature carefully considered elements such as size, leather binding, tactile feel, and a protective slipcase. This deliberate design provides collectors with the opportunity to cultivate a cohesive aesthetic for their Grisham library.
