Neatly inscribed in black ink on the half-title page: "To Mrs. Pitt/from/H. Rider Haggard/Ditchingham/14 Nov. 1911". Sarah Pitt was a fellow author and friend of HRH. Scott 58: Whatmore F38. London: Longmans, Green, and Co. (1911), 165 pages. This VG copy has slight sun fading to spine with soft spine ends, some modest loss from rubbing to cover decoration, and toning end papers.
