Description: First Printing of the first UK edition. An attractive, square, tight copy - pushed a little at the spine ends but corners not bumped, free from previous owner names etc. Strong gilt titles at the backstrip. The dustjacket is not clipped but lacks a printed price suggesting that this copy was intended for export from the UK. A few small dimples to the jacket along the gutter and some creasing to spine tips and corners. Near Fine dustjacket. SIGNED (for the seller in person) by John Irving at the title page and the signing-event ticket is loosely inserted into the book. A great copy!
