The spine and the rear board are without blemish.

Spine: head & foot with thin bumping and light rubbed wear/ cracks. Tiny rubbed wear to boards fore corner tips. Edges: light age browning to top-edge and yellowing to fore & bottom edge; moderate foxings & soiling. Missing ffep. Surface splitting to head of front hinge revealing mesh. Frontis: colour illustration of Royal Signature in The Company's Old Vellum Book. Just a few pages with faint and few only foxings to the margins mostly. B/w glossy illustrations (four colour and 74 in b/w). Binding is VG+ 298p
