Description: This book is LIMITED to 800 cc., of which, this is #156. It was published at the Fine Arts Building in Chicago, and was decorated and illustrated by Ralph Fletcher Seymour. It is a beautiful & unique work of art, printed on thick deckel-edged paper. Very ornate throughout, with bold old English lettering, and very intricate decorated edges, plus fabulous drawings interspersed, in memorializing the legendary poet, John Keats. Description: [Partial limitation statement]: "This book is No. 353 of an edition limited to 800 copies made upon L. L. Brown's H. M. Paper [-] Printed in Chicago by R. R. Donnelley & Sons Co. from plates made from drawings for each page, designed & lettered by Ralph Fletcher Seymour". 5 7/8 inches x 9 1/8 in., half-title; two page design title-page printed in black and brown inks, with the dedication on one side, and the signed copyright notice on the reverse of the second page of this title-page, a small, 1 1/4 in. x 1/4 in. watercolor painting is present to the left of his signature, this features a night scene of a full moon over dark trees, with clouds, and water in the fore-ground; printed title-page with the numbered limiation statement, design, printed in black & brown. Unpaginated. Printed in black and brown inks with typical "Arts & Crafts" style opening page, initial letters & borders; there are four large and two smaller, woodcut style drawings as illustrations. Dark green cloth spine and sides with gilt-lettered titling on the spine, and gray-green paper over boards, and with the title with a floral design in gold and dark green on the front cover. Rough, deckled edge paper. The spine ends show light wear, the cover corners show light wear, with the paper chipped away from the lower back cover corner, dusting to the outer back cover. A near fine to better than very good copy. With the bookplate of Cleveland, Ohio based book collector, William G. Mather (1857-1951), on the front paste-down endpaper. Ralph Fletcher Seymour (1876-1966) was associated with the Alderbrink Press, and his early work was influenced by the "Arts & Crafts" movement and style.
