Fisher Unwin, 1902, first edition, issued simultaneously in wrappers and red cloth, this, the paperbound issue is quite scarce and has been bound (with the front wrapper preserved) in an early twentieth century binding of three quarter brown leather and tan cloth which is rubbed at the edges, but still a very good copy. INSCRIBED by the author to his friend, Sidney Bowkett, his model for Chitterlow in KIPPS. A nice association copy thus.
