The edition is tightly bound and quite clean with very rare foxing and slight sunning to spine, else Fine. The paper used throughout is lovely to the touch. Previous owner ex-libris label on front paste down page. The matching slip box is in Good- and displays missing sections of the cardboard, tape residue, splitting/chipping with the bottom portion coming unattached. The publisher issued label on the slipcase is still intact and clean. Printed and bound in England from the first 1846 edition published by Bradbury and Evans, with the posthumous water-color illustrations by Hugh Thomson.
