Warren, Robert Penn. The Circus in the Attic. Harcourt and Brace, 1947.

Price: US$400.00 + shipping

Condition: Near Fine

Description: The first edition, published by Harcourt Brace in 1947. One of the author's more difficult titles to acquire in respectable condition. This is a near fine copy in a near fine ( spine faded ) dust jacket. Laid in to this copy is a (somewhat churlish ) folded greeting card bearing the signature of Robert Penn Warren. He apparently reconsidered this gesture, and crossed out his own signature. He subsequently appended the card with a note saying ' I don't send extras for swapping. ' The greeting card is in a plain envelope. One might assume that the card is a somewhat unique RPW item.
