Description: A limited edition book in patterned boards. Poetry by Kooser based on reminiscences of people who experienced the blizzard of January 12, 1888. Sometimes called the School ChildrensÂ’ Blizzard, since many of the more than 200 vicitms were children walking home from school. Pulitzer Prize winner and past U.S. Poet Laurate Kooser lives in Nebraska where the impacts of the blizzard were worst. The book was designed and printed by Gerald Lange. Paper is mouldmade from Zerkall Mill in West Germany, and covers and end papers were handmade by Kathyrn Clark. Book was hand bound by Campbell-Logan Bindary. Illustrations by Tom Pohrt. Book is Fine with a slight touch of aging along spine. There is no jacket or slipcase, as issued. A unique production that is number 103 of 200 such copies. Signed by Kooser and Pohrt on the limitation page.
