Description: 4to. xxii 691 pp. plus 49 colour plates; maps, b/w photographs and illustrations. Dark green buckram with gilt titles. Signed (no inscription) on title page and inscribed by author to original owner on ffep. The author was a Fellow of the American Ornithologists' Union, Professor of Ornithology and Director of the Museum of Natural History, University of Minnesota. Edges and endpapers darkened. Boards show minor wear to corners and head/tail of spine, a couple of light scuff marks. Errata slip laid in. Due to weight of book extra shipping charge may apply.

A nearly perfect set in the original slip case, which has split and been repaired with tape. Laid into Vol. I is a photograph of Roberts, signed by him on the back.
