Description: Revised edition, 1980. Signed by John Fowles to title page and dated 1981. Brick-red cloth boards, top edge red, in very good condition with a very slight lean to spine. Unmarked inside. Near fine jacket with very minor wear to edges, except for the fact that the spine is faded to a lighter shade.

Description: New edition, with an enlarged preface. Signed by the author. Original maroon cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. Top edge red. An excellent very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the contents clean throughout and without previous owner's marks. The top edge a touch faded. Complete with the very lightly rubbed dustwrapper that remains without fading, loss or tears. Not price-clipped (£4.95 to the bottom of the front flap). Inscribed by the author in black ink on the title page "John Fowles / Lyme Regis, 1997". The Aristos is a personal philosophical exposition on the nature of humanity and modern life, inspired by the work of the 5th century BCE philosopher Heraclitus.
