Navy blue cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and graphics on front panel and spine. Extremities sunned. Bump on upper right front fore-edge corner. Many b&w illustrations and photos. Book is internally clean, text block is solid. Dust jacket has shelf-wear scuffs overall. The black background highlights the small chips and rubs along edges at head and tail of jacket spine, fore-edge corners and several along the upper and lower edges of front and back panels. There are two prices on inside front flap, in the upper and lower corners, both have faint pencilled X's over them. Book in near fine condition with very faint ading along top edge of cloth and extremely faint rubbing along lower outer corners. Bound in clean blue cloth with bright gilt lettering, spine show no wear. Author inscription across front free end paper, "To Gene Crimson", dated "1987". Top edges of pages appear to have decorative speckles of light color. Numerous color and black and white plates throughout book in clear and beautiful condition. Extensive index at end of book accommodates the depth of this notable volume. Dust jacket protected in archival cover. Light frosting on front and rear wrapper with minor creasing along extremities. Color photograph of author on front wrapper still bright and clean. Title spine shows slight sunning though still clear.
