Short tear and a bit of toning on front panel, very good or better, Copy number 1 of 300 copies printed. Although not called for, this copy is Inscribed and Signed by Moore to the publisher in an infirm hand: "For Dearest Mr. George Bixby. August 30, 1969. Marianne Moore." Bixby made a practice of retaining for himself copy letter A and copy number 1 of each of his limited editions. First published in *The Egoist*, October 1916. Nicely printed by William Ferguson and issued as Albondocani Press Publication No. 6. Abbott A34. Signed copies are rare, and perhaps in this case unique.
