Description: #106 of 500 signed, numbered, limited first edition de luxe copies. Signed by Edmund Dulac at the limitation page. Beautifully illustrated by Dulac with fourteen full color tipped-in plates, including frontis. All plates present, bright and lovely with no wear. Half vellum over grey-papered boards, with gilt titles and decoration to spine. Vellum a little scuffed and age-soiled, titles overall sharp and bright, but the decoration at lower spine partially obscured. Scuffing and faint scratching to paper boards, and fraying to paper at edges. Ring stain and a few spots of dampstaining to front board. Binding sound. Top edges of texblock gilt. Deckled fore-edge. Note to P/O neatly inked to limitation page for Christmas 1919. Moderately foxed to flyleaf, limitation, and half title in front, and in the back from the last two pages of text through flyleaves preceding RFEP. Interior otherwise only very lightly spotted, with sparse foxing throughout, not affecting any of the plates. Two 2" spots of faint dampstaining to limitation page and half-title, and rarely, there is marginal dampstaining to lower fore-edge corners of some pages (<1/2"). Text otherwise unmarked. A very good copy in paper covered boards with vellum spine and corners with some light soiling to the vellum, some light wear to the edges and a small tear to the edge of one page. Plates in very clean condition. No dust jacket as issued. Signed by Dulac on the limitation page.
