Description: Unpaginated with delightful illustrations on each page. Contents are very clean & tight. On the first blank endpaper, the author has SIGNED " Ray Bradbury. 9/17/93" in black ink. The only copyright date is 1955,(no ISBN) but this is a second or early printing, probably very early 1960's. Dedicated to his 2 daughters. The pictorial hardcover appears to have been developed for the library market. It is not known if it ever came with a dustjacket. The hardcover is sharp & square. There is slight, light discoloration along the front and rear edges. A SIGNED, COLLECTIBLE CHILDRENS BOOK BY RAY BRADBURY. Please "Ask Bookseller" if this is available before ordering.

Description: A rare classic children's book by the master. 1955 Pantheon Books 1st Library Edition (ie. published as is without dust jacket with what would be the DJ design printed on the hardback). Signed and Inscribed and Dated March 9, 1989. The HB is in Very Good condition with minor wear at the edges and top/bottom spine. It's boards are bright with no loss of color. The paper and text are intact and well-bound without tears or marks, or stamps.

Description: First Edition in grey boards, titled in yellow on spine and cover, cover also decorated in white and black, pink endpapers, jacket and interiors by Madeleine Gekiere. Inscribed in black marker "Jean!/Ray Bradbury" on the f.f.e. New York: Pantheon Books (1955), 48 pps. A nearly fine copy with rubbing along the top and the bottom edge also shows some spots near spine end. Bottom edges of front and rear free endpaper also has about 1/4" black staining, possibly from printer. Fine jacket protected in mylar is darkened along the edges and worn on spine ends.

Octavo (22cm); light grey printed paper-covered boards; dustjacket; [52]pp; illus. Signed by Bradbury on the front endpaper, beneath a full-page drawing of a ghoul, dated 6/27/92. Light wear to spine ends and lower board edges, upper corners gently tapped (though still sharp), with minimal signs of handling; contents fresh; Near Fine. Dustjacket is unclipped (priced $2.50), lightly edgeworn, with a hint of sunning to spine, and a few tiny abrasions; Near Fine. An attractive copy of Bradbury's first children's book, a collaborative work with Zurich-born illustrator Madeleine Gekiere (1919-2014).
