Description: SIGNED. 286pp. Octavo [21.5 cm] 1/4 green cloth with light green cloth covered boards and a gilt stamped title on the spine. Author's initials stamped in gilt on front board. Spine very slightly rolled and head of tail of spine are rubbed. Previous owner's book plate on front paste down and two stamps pasted at top corner of front free end paper. Dust jacket is in very good condition, subtly toned with a piece of masking tape along the top edge, likely holding together a handful of small tears. Signed on the front free end paper in black and blue ink, "For ____ _____. Cordially, Wallace Stegner". Tipped in title page, due to the publisher's recall.
