Rare thus. Music drawn by Gladys Evans & engraved on wood by W.M. R. Quick, the Decorations were designed and engraved on wood by Robert Giggings, the type was composed by A.H. Gibbs & F. Young and the book printed by A.C. Cooper at the Golden Cockerel Press, Waltham Staint Lawrence, in Berkshire and completed on the 4th day of October 1924. Music is printed in black and red

Description: First edition, limited to 380 numbered copies, 350 of which were for sale (this being #131). The copy additionally signed by Robert Gibbings on the colophon leaf (the signature not called for). 4to. 64pp. Vellum-backed paper-covered boards, lettered in gold at the spine. The title page and musical notations printed in red and black. The vellum just a little tarnished, and a tiny area of chafing to the tip of one corner. A touch of very light toning and spotting to the endpapers, and two or three further tiny spots to very occasional text leaves. A very good copy of this selection of Carey's poems and songs, chosen by Moira Gibbings, with music drawn by Gladys Evans and engraved onto wood by W.M.R.Quick, and with 23 wood engraved illustrations and decorations by Robert Gibbings.
