INSCRIBED and SIGNED by the author on the front endpaper: "To Keith Baker - / a book of / things that go bump / in the night. / Cordially / August Derleth." Twenty stories, including "four tales in the Cthulhu Mythos pattern of the late H.P. Lovecraft, two of them of novelette length; this was Derleth's second published collection of his own stories.
