Description: First Edition, First Printing Stunning, near fine book with a fine/near fine jacket, boldly signed and inscribed by Robert Heinlein on the front fly leaf “To Doctor Stephen R. Landon / All good wishes / Robert A. Heinlein”. Robert Heinlein signed very few books, other than his few limited editions. (Compare the rarity of his signature to others of his contemporaries such as Bradbury, Asimov or Clarke.) Thus all signed Heinlein books are considered extremely scarce. This typically fragile book is in near fine clean condition with black cloth boards, and bright unfaded titles on the spine and front board. The boards have sharp corners with one gentle tip bump and a bit of rubbing, otherwise no edgewear. The binding is tight and square. The end papers are clean with no stains, no inscriptions, no bookstore stamps and no bookplates, however there is one owner name which is located such that it fall behind the front flap of the dust jacket (see images). Boldly signed and inscribed by Robert Heinlein on the front fly leaf “To Doctor Stephen R. Landon / All good wishes / Robert A. Heinlein”.
