Price: US$643.19 + shipping

Condition: Very Good

Description: Blanchard A2. VG- first edition. Buchan's first novel, a romantic tale of the Covenanting days set in the Galloway hills. Bound as described in Blanchard (black cloth and front cover with pink bricks, yellow and red flowers with green leaves and red and black stems) and with the full title on the spine and shortened title (Sir Quixote) on the front, both in yellow lettering. Lightly rubbed extremities but very bright otherwise. Very good internally but the front hinge is just beginning to crack although the binding remains firm. Pasted inside the front cover is a sheet of paper signed “John Buchan Sept: 16: 1920) and the fly-leaf is signed “B Consitt Boulter Novr. 1897”. Taffy Boulter was one of JB’s close friends at Brasenose and their rooms were on the same staircase. An exceptional association copy.
