Description: SIGNED "Olivia Parker, Yosemite, 1981," on title page. First edition stated, original hardcover in jacket with jacket in protective mylar sleeve. Collectible copy with 53 two-color photographs. Condition: book is quite solid and bright with minimal reference wear. There is a smaller-than-eraser size rubbed spot on half-title page. Jacket has some rubbing to the edges and corners with loss of red color; few small chips to edges and corners. Overall, quite bright and solid in protective mylar sleeve. Very nice.

Cellophane-protected dust wrapper with small tears and chips to spine head, chip to lower edge in back, and one-inch tear with creases in back.

Olivia Parker (b. 1941, Boston) received a B.A. in art history at Wellesley College. A well-respected photographer, Parker's photographs are compositions comprised of still-life constructions in which she incorporates subject matter from different eras, using existing imagery copied from old books, shadows and other objects.
