Description: An attractive copy of the very first title in the enduring Richard Sharpe series. A lovely square, tight binding which is pushed/bumped at the spine tips. The block remains fresh and is free from previous owner names etc. Very nice indeed, Fine or very near it. The dustjacket bears the publisher's price-clip with their new price of £6.95 at the front flap. Rubbed at the corners with tiny loss and creased at the spine tips with a tiny laminate chip and nick at the crown. Presents reasonably well, however, and a VG dustjacket. Loosely inserted into the book a small, plain white card which has been hand-signed in black ink by Bernard Cornwell - ideal size for mounting.
