Original full white vellum with small gilt vignette to upper cover, lettered gilt to spine, top edge gilt, others uncut, in original card slipcase; illustrated with 8 woodblock coloured plates by John Nash and a couple of other illustrations; an uncommonly fresh copy, both externally and internally, with a little light dusting to spine and a few text leaves slightly carelessly opened at the fore-edge; the slipcase with light edge wear and some dust-soiling; scarce by virtue of a very small limitation alone. First edition de luxe, printed on fine Italian handmade paper and limited to only 170 numbered copies, signed by both Walter de la Mare and John Nash, of which only 150 were for sale.
