Fine, rare promotional leaflet laid in, in clear acetate dust jacket, as issued. Black Sparrow Press was a small independent publishing house focused on avant-garde literature. Established by John and Barbara Martin in 1966, in Los Angeles, and shuttered in 2002, in Santa Rosa. With the help of typographer and printer Graham Mackintosh, the Press was responsible for drawing attention to Charles Bukowski and his literary work.

This book is full of snippets or scenes from a life and comes in an exterior softcover that has marks on the front and back cover, a small tear at the upper left top corner, light wearing on the four corners and some edges, and finally, has some small stains on the closed book's right page edge. The interior book, on the other hand, other than the author's signature, has no other visible extraneous markings or other distractions throughout it and thus all printing is in a very well=preserved and enjoyable condition. The interior book is also still well glued into its cover.
