Description: First edition. Author's presentation copy - and, as such, the only one I can recall having seen - inscribed on the title-page: "Seamus for Tony [Bailey] June 30 1978 `fewer trees!'" (The recipient - a British war-time evacuee to the USA as a child - became a staff writer at `The New Yorker' for 35 years and published therein a long, boring piece about walking the River Boyne with Heaney in the mid-1970s.) Slightly faded around spine, else an excellent copy in the original paper wrappers.
