Description: SIGNED in full by the author in blue ink on ffep: "Zane Grey". The letter "y" in Grey's signature is slightly smudged, otherwise a clear bold example. GROSSET & DUNLAP ANNIVERSARY EDITION. Copyright 1912. First published in 1912, this is the Grosset & Dunlap Anniversary Edition. Not to be confused with the Harper Tenth Anniversary Edition, published by Harper & Brothers in 1921, with colour frontispiece & 11 additional colour plates by W. Herbert Dunton, which was limited to 1500 copies. This edition contains NO plates or frontispiece, as issued. Front board with "Anniversary Edition" printed in silver on blue. Copyright page contains the letters "H-A". Printed in the USA. Bound in publisher's original silver cloth with silver lettering on dark blue to front board & spine. No dustjacket. PLEASE NOTE: This is a GOOD copy only. Covers slightly worn, light marginal staining throughout (more so to endpapers), some tear damage to lower corner of both front pastedown & ffep (which appear to have been affixed together when water staining occurred), small brown tape remnant marks to both endpapers & pastedowns, slight handling wear with a couple of pages dog-eared, otherwise a clean tight solid hardcover copy.
