Fourteen nursery rhymes, each accompanied by a full-page illustration by Mervyn Peake, ten of which are hand-coloured; black and white frontispiece.Signed and dated 1941 by the artist on the front free endpaper.Paper boards a little bruised at extremities with a couple of minuscule holes at tail of spine, otherwise a very good indeed copy of a fragile book in very good dustwrapper which is a bit dusty and rubbed at the edges and with a short closed tear at top edge of lower panel. Peake seems to have signed very few copies of this title.
