Description: Quarto; vellum spine and gilt stamped boards with image of fox also in gilt. Housed in slipcase. Copy 370 of 380 signed by Masefield and the illustrator, G. D. Armour. Ilustrated by Armour throughout with tipped in plates in color and black and white. This copy has been additionally inscribed from publisher Sidney Pawling to publisher Nelson Doubleday on Oct. 17, 1921. Doubleday purchased a controlling stake in Pawling's English publishing house, Heinemann, in the same year.
