Description: Very good in original blue cloth-covered boards and very good dust jacket with with some short closed tears, creasing, and rubbing. The book has a thin line of sunning on the top edge of the spine and brief foxing on the bottom and foredges. Association copy with Michener's inscription on the front endpaper: "Allentown, Pa / -1962 / To Claire Hechenberger / News Reporter for Catasauqua / & Bethlehem papers. / All but good wishes. / James A. Michener." Also inscribed on the rear endpaer, "To Claire Hechenberger / A good Photographer / a good worker / a good Democrat / We're for Michener / Jane Thomson".
