Although the colophon indicates that 400 copies were published, an errata slip, (not present) stated that this is one of 75, the balance of the printing having been destroyed. This is a presentation copy, signed "John", expressing good wishes and commenting "This card is pretty embarrassing but it was not my idea."

Description: A scarce Limited Numbered First Issue signed by the author. Designed as a holiday greeting in December 1974, the first issue of 400 copies was printed with the cover designs of flowers printed upside down. Most were destroyed and the card was reissued; this is the first issue with the upside-down design. In light green paper wrapper, the card consists of 4 pp., a poem by John Updike. No envelope or errata slip. A lovely copy.
