Of these 110 are hand-colored in metallic casein, of which 85 are for sale. This is copy 309 of the uncolored version. There are twenty-nine black and white drawings by Gorey. Each drawing is paired with a verse in this "Homage to Isaac Watts". The condition of this book is FINE.

Description: Miniature book, measuring about 40mm x 34mm., illustrated. A fine, fresh copy in the publisher's patterned boards, with applied paper label to front board and gilt-stamped black leather label to spine. Spine with perhaps the faintest age-toning, else a lovely example. In the publisher's slipcase, with hand-colored printed label to side panel. This is number 100 of 110 limited copies SIGNED by Gorey, which were hand-colored in metallic casein (of which just 85 were for sale). The other 290 copies in the total limitation of 400 were un-colored, and issued without a slicpase. The illuminations bring a lively contrast to Gorey's enchanting illustrations. The hand-colored issue is considerably scarcer in commerce; we can trace just one auction sale since the year of publication.
