H. Yeomen, husband of 'Anton' (1907Ð1970), an Australian born English cartoonist, "a comrade in words - 1961, Francis Meynell." One of 750 numbered copies. Very good indeed in plain black, slightly nicked and used, minus very good dust jacket.

Terracotta cloth, spine gilt, black Ingres paper dust-jacket with title gold-blocked down spine. A near fine copy. (Dreyfus 128) Presentation copy, inscribed: "for Mary, from Francis 7 August 1961".

This copy is inscribed on the free endpaper in blue ink: "Therese & Hugh Ford / from Francis Meynell / Lavenham / 4 August 1967." [Hugh Ford collaborated with Nancy Cunard, wrote her biography, &c., &c. Sir Francis Meynell founded the Nonesuch Press in 1922.].
