Three unbound proofs, two of which are signed by Philip K. Dick in green ink and Daniel J. H. Levack in black on their title pages. A hybrid proof / paste-up of the full manuscript layout, with notations; with glued layout, additions, or corrections throughout. Contents faded over time, some offsetting and light edge wear. 5. A folder containing small, loose copies of Philip K. Dick cover art photos which appear in the bibliography, as is used in mock ups. The photos have a sort of light rubber cement backing. Includes a transparent printing plate of a cover for the book Philip K. Dick Mozart fur Marsianer with some loose text and photos stuck to it, as well as a larger mock-up of the page with that photo. 6. Blue spiral -bound Rockwell International notebook with a copy of the typewritten manuscript draft; some few annotations part of the photocopy; but with copious new notes, corrections, additions, etc. throughout, in pencil and in red or black ink. 7. A prong-bound folder of manuscript corrections in white Rockwell International wraps, with only those sheets which needed emendation; manuscript corrections both photocopied and by hand. Preceded by an internal memo dated Oct. 7, 1981 describing contents and prospective timeline for printing. 8. Camera copy of the manuscript. Also receipts and slips from printers Braun-Brumfield Inc. for the various stages of production. 10. A mock-up, with corrections, signed on the title page by Dick in green ink, and by Levack in blue. Prong-bound in white Rockwell International wraps. 11.The finished book itself, PKD: A Philip K. Dick Bibliography, in unopened publisher's shrink wrap. Limited first edition, signed by Dick, the author, and Steven Owen Godersky. An invaluable resource, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the editorial and publication process during its era of science fiction publishing. 12.An envelope labeled "Corrections to 2nd Gallys [sic] Sept 82," containing unused and/or removed pieces from/for a maquette, also annotated and emended in teal highlighter, as well as in red and blue pen. 13. Photocopied typewritten pages excerpted from the finished first edition, with a few marginal notations/publication ideas (photocopied) such as a price mark-up, for a revised edition. In mailed envelope addressed to Dan Levack from Pendragon Graphics, postmarked April 6, 1984. A unique collection that shows various drafts and mock-ups of PKD as well as snapshots of the legal aspects and printing of the book, the book itself, and a few revisions for subsequent editions. The addition of Dick's uncommon signature-- five times, no less-- is a nice touch, too, for collectors of his work.
