Description: First edition. Cover drawing by Robert Dunn. Fine in stapled wrappers with cardboard stiffener and envelope, addressed in Reynolds' hand (showing normal wear). One of 350 copies. Inscribed on the first page to editor and friend Harry Ford and his wife: "& love to K. & Harry / from Reynolds Price. 1986." Harry Ford was an editor at Atheneum, publisher of Reynolds Price's early trade publications. Harry Ford also designed most of the Reynolds Price titles published by Atheneum, and Price dedicated his play "Early Dark" to Harry and Kathleen Ford. A poem issued as a Christmas greeting by the publisher and author, with a nice association.
