DJ glossy beneath mylar with colorful design and yellow background, a color-illustration of gray palm trees and pink flamingos along bottom edges, praise on back from the New Yorker, Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Times Book Review, Harry Crews and friend Donald Justice. DJ has light surface wear to tips, tiny creases at spine bottom edge. On first front end paper in blue ink: "To Pat Donovan--I think you can learn a good deal about police work from Hoke, and also how to raise children. All the best! Charles Willeford." Very Good DJ/Very Fine book.
