This copy is number 176 of a limited First Edition of 220 signed copies, of which 20 were designated as not for sale. The book’s format and design were made by W. A. Dwiggins and the book was printed by The Pynson Printers of New York. This copy of the book is obviously unread, since all the book’s pages are unopened. The book, which measures approximately 6 ¾ x 9 ¼ inches, is bound in hard covers with a beige cloth spine and dark cloth covers embossed with gold pattern designs. The book is in very good condition. The illustrations accompanying this description show the book’s cover, a typical 2-page spread of text, and the colophon page with Willa Cather’s signature. Willa Sibert Cather (December 7, 1873 – April 24, 1947) was an American author who achieved recognition for her novels of frontier life on the Great Plains, including O Pioneers!
