Book has small nick at top right of front endpaper, slight wear at tips and some offsetting from the printing on the inside flaps. Previous owner's name neatly written at the top of the front pastedown. Occasional browning to page edges Original rough cut pages from American sheets. Not a book club edition, ex library or a remainder. I am happy to supply scans.

Additionally includes a heart felt inscription by the film director, Deepa Mehta, on the verso of the half title page: "In Lieu of Salmon (My Hero!) I so enjoyed making this into a movie. Love, Deepa Mehta". Deepa Mehta directed the film adaptation of the novel in 2012 with a screenplay by Rushdie.
