John O'Connor. Twins. Whittington Press, 1991.

Price: US$275.00 + shipping

Condition: Fine

Description: [14] pp., illustrated, 8vo, decorated paper over boards, paper spine label. Illustrated with 11 woodcut engravings by O'Connor. One of 350 copies (of which 105 copies were reserved for the special version of Matrix 11) printed on Zerkall cream smooth wove paper (although Butcher states that a "considerable" number were lost due to issues with printing the three-color engravings). Signed by O'Connor on the colophon page. Laid in is a manuscript note on Whittington Press notepaper from publisher-printer John Randle to an unidentified recipient. In it, mention is made of the death of "Alan," and plans for a "memorial volume with contributions from the poets he encouraged." This presumably refers to Cheltenham bookseller Alan Hancox and the volume "Poems for Alan Hancox" that Whittington published in 1993. Butcher, Whittington Press Bibliography 1982-93, 111. Fine copy.
