Description: A classic in art history, written by the great director of MoMA; this is a limited edition of 495 numbered copies, this being No.343, signed by Mr. Barr and containing an original lithograph by Henri Matisse with tissue guard laid-in; this copy is Fine in a Near Fine DJ with a 3/4" scuff on outer cardboard slipcase, with two, DJ closed tears and a tiny, bottom chip and a bottom, 3/4" missing piece; also laid in is a color invitation to the 1978 a treasure of a book, this being one of the finest copies offered on the internet.
