Belita Stivens was the wife of Dr. Lyne Stivens, Haggard's friend and physician. Dr. Stiven's name appears in Haggard's autobiography and in his books: A FARMERS YEAR and RURAL ENGLAND. Inscription dated one month after publication. New York: Henry Holt and Company (1911), 165 pages. A well preserved copy with modest wear at spine ends and tips; "Queens House School" in blue ink on f.f.e.
